Services & Equipment
What we haul, how we haul it, and who we haul for.
Do you deliver to job sites?
Yes. Job-site deliveries of construction materials are our core service. We bring materials directly to your job site so your crew has what it needs when it needs it. Send your pickup point, job-site address, and timeline through our freight quote form to get started.
What kind of trucks do you use?
We haul on flatbed and step-deck trailers. Which one fits your load depends on its size, weight, and how it will be loaded and unloaded, and we’ll match the trailer to the job when we quote it.
What’s the difference between a flatbed and a step deck?
A flatbed has one flat, level deck. A step deck (also called a drop deck) has a short upper deck up front and a lower main deck, so taller loads sit closer to the ground. Both are open trailers, so they can be loaded from the sides or from above. Tell us your load’s dimensions and weight and we’ll recommend the right one.
What is end-to-end project logistics?
Instead of booking one truck at a time, you hand us the freight side of your project. One point of contact plans and coordinates every load, including phased deliveries, and keeps in touch with your field team so materials arrive when the schedule calls for them. Start with our project quote form.
Who do you work with?
We work with contractors, builders, landscapers, project managers, and the trades. If you’re moving construction materials to or from a job site, we’d like to hear about your project.
Quotes & Scheduling
How to get a price and how we keep your project on schedule.
How do I get a quote?
Use our freight quote form for a single delivery, the project quote form for multiple or phased loads, or the disposal quote form for haul-away. You can also call or text 423-240-2522 or email Jaye@thunderheadfreight.com.
What information do you need for a quote?
Send the pickup location, the job-site delivery address, what’s moving (material type, approximate weight, and dimensions or piece count), and your pickup and delivery dates. It also helps to know whether there’s a forklift on site for unloading and who our on-site contact will be. The more detail you share, the more accurate your quote will be.
How much does a job-site delivery cost?
It depends on the load: what’s moving, how far it’s going, which trailer it needs, and your timing. The fastest way to get an accurate price is to send the details through our freight quote form.
Can you handle multiple deliveries for one project?
Yes. Our project logistics service covers multiple loads and phased deliveries for a single job, timed to your schedule and coordinated with your field team. Share your project scope and delivery sequence in the project quote form.
Will I have one point of contact?
Yes. You’ll work with one point of contact who stays with your load or project from the first call to the final delivery, so you won’t have to repeat yourself or chase updates.
Are you available nights and weekends?
Yes. We’re open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so you can call or text 423-240-2522 anytime. Exact pickup and delivery times depend on the load and the job site, so include your preferred window when you request a quote.
Disposal & Recycling
Job-site haul-away with a recycle-first approach.
Do you offer job-site disposal and haul-away?
Yes. We haul materials away from job sites, and we take a recycle-first approach: salvageable materials go to be reused or recycled wherever possible. Tell us what needs to go through our disposal quote form.
Do you haul away old artificial turf?
Yes. Salvaged artificial turf is a good example of our recycle-first approach. We work to get it reused or recycled wherever possible rather than simply thrown away.
What does “recycle-first” mean?
It means we look for a second life for salvageable materials, through reuse or recycling, before treating them as waste. What can be recycled depends on the material and its condition, so describe your materials in the disposal quote form and we’ll let you know.
